Antique Circa 1905 Wernicke all metal stackable letter file cabinet or card cabinet. 3 pieces in all, 2 drawer or cabinet sections along with 1 angle iron type footed base. The base shares the wood grain finish as well. Appearance or finish is faux Oak wood grain, original finish. Multiple drawers, 15 in all, unfortunately there is 1 drawer missing. The 2 sections would have originally accommodated 16 drawers. Structurally sound, not rot, dents or large scrapes, scratches or gouges. I see dirt and dust, looks like paint overspray on the 1 side as well. No makers names or marks, however there is a patent # on the inside of the drawer mechanisms. Letter File, card file Patent #779,101 awarded to L. Senge, Globe Wernicke, January 3, 1905, filed May 16, 1903. Dimensions, Overall height 31 1/4″, 32″ length, 17 1/2 front to back. Drawers 15 1/4″ length, 6 7/8″ width. Please see all pics. Item can also be picked up at The Salamanca Mall Antiques in Salamanca NY USA just 2 short miles from the Seneca Alleghany Casino Resort which is situated directly along the I – 86 Interstate corridor, easy off/on exits.
